With everyone well settled into the new normal, DILG Pampanga held its first ever face-to-face kapehan session dubbed LABAN PA! (Learning to Adapt and Begin ANew amidst the Pandemic) on March 12, 2021.
Ensuring strict adherence to health protocols including observance of physical distancing and wearing of face masks, the activity set the tone for the Provincial Office's readiness to embrace an adaptive mindset amidst the still pervasive threat of Covid-19.
The first live kapehan coincided with DILG Pampanga's celebration of Women's Month with the theme "We-Men: Women Empowered - The Markings of an Established Nation", which paid tribute to the women and men of DILG Pampanga who continue to blaze the trail for public service.
LABAN PA! takes off from last year's online kapehan series dubbed Ok K P Ba? (???????????????????????? ????????????????????????????, ???????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????????, ???????? ???????????? ????????), an initiative of the office meant to cushion the effects of the pandemic on the mental well-being of its people through a virtual kamustahan with the Provincial Office staff and field officers. The activity was very successful that it became a regular component of the office's activities that was highly anticipated by everyone.
DILG Pampanga's tradition of kapehan continues to evolve with the changing times but it remains true to the spirit of camaraderie, unity and resilience which has ferried the team through many seasons and situations. This time, the revamped kapehan takes the team's fellowship offline as the DILG Pampanga adapts to the nuances of the "new environment" and further strengthens the team's bond.
The kapehan was followed by the regular Provincial Team Conference to discuss updates and status of reports submission. The LTIA guidelines were also discussed with the field officers in preparation for the upcoming assessment.
