The Sangguniang Bayan of Masinloc and the Municipal Road Clearing Task Force, in support to the directives of Mayor Arsenia J. Lim, conducted a dialogue with the presidents of Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) and barangay officials to further reiterate the importance of their cooperation to the road clearing efforts of the local government unit (LGU) on January 21, 2021 at the 3rd floor Municipal Hall, Masinloc, Zambales.
Sanggunian Bayan Members Philip Aaron Eamilao, Norman Acierto, Arnel Aquino, Philip Cesar Eamilao and John Benedict Edora were present along with Municipal Engineer and Road Clearing Focal Person Ellender Eclevia, Philippine National Police (PNP) Deputy Chief of Operations PLT. Jessu M. Rendon and Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Cindy C. Cagalitan.
The activity is part of the strategy of the LGU in ensuring the compliance of all stakeholders with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 2020-145, which gave local government units until January 15, 2021 to clear any obstruction of roads within their jurisdiction.
An internal validation of the weekly reports submitted by barangays was also conducted on January 15 and 18, 2021 lead by Municipal Engineer Eclevia in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP) and Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB).
