The 2nd batch of hired contact tracers of DILG Bataan completed their online training on October 23, 2020 via Zoom Online Platform.
The pool of speakers included Harold Doroteo from the World Health Organization, PMaj Galahad Taqueban of Bataan Police Provincial Office and Dra. Lahaina Bulaong, MHO of Dinalupihan who discussed engaging topics such as DOH Contact Tracing Protocols, Cognitive Interview Skills and Dinalupihan's best practices in contact tracing, respectively.
ADAS II Vangie Rodriguez, DILG Bataan's HR Officer, also thoroughly explained the administrative and financial documentary requirements of the contact tracers needed to comply in the duration of their contract.
The said online training would not be complete without a simulation exercise participated by the CTs as an application of what they have learned from the speakers. The group was divided into three breakout rooms into which they had a role-play of a contact tracer interviewing close contacts/COVID-19 positives. Various DILG Bataan personnel supervised the breakout sessions including CTL Melissa Nipal, MLGOO Cristy Blanco, MLGOO Ma. Jasmin Bartolo, PM Allan Don Malonzo and CDS chief Johnny Mandocdoc.
PD Myra Moral-Soriano, in her closing message, welcomed the newly-hired personnel as now members of the DILG family. Dra. Rosanna Buccahan, Bataan's provincial health officer also gave inspiring messages to the CTs, on behalf of Gov. Albert Garcia.
These contact tracers will be assigned to contact tracing teams deployed in different LGUs in the province. The third batch of CT hiring is on-going to accomplish the 600 allocated slots for Bataan.
