DILG Olongapo City officially turned over the Batch 1 consisting of 36 hired contact tracers to the City Government of Olongapo City on October 16, 2020 at the Rizal Triangle Covered Court, West Bajac-Bajac.

"We expect that you will be giving your 100% cooperation with the City Government," instructed DILG City Director Amada T. Dumagat during her opening message. "Our aim to stop the spread of the COVID in Olongapo City should always be instilled in your hearts and minds."

City Mayor Rolen C. Paulino, Jr., expressed his gratitude to the contact tracers for offering their help to the city despite the risk. He also assured that the City Government will always support its frontliners.

"We just request that you will not be neglectful," said Mayor Paulino to the CTs. "You have to observe our protocols and safety measures. Since you are now part of the government, you are expected to be role-models."

Mayor Paulino also enjoined the contact tracers to report if they could spot any irregularities done by the barangay officials and even the City Health Office, especially in the implementation of health protocols.
