With the provision of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Video Software Subscription from the FY 2020 Medium Term Information and Communication Technology Harmonization Initiative (MITHI) ICT fund to the Regional and Field Offices, DILG Region 3 conducted a Virtual Training on Zoom Application and Management on August 26, 2020 via Zoom cloud platform. Regional Office staff, designated provincial/highly urbanized city (HUC) IT Officers and the twenty eight (28) 53rd Batch trainees participated in the activity.

Its main objective was to capacitate the participants with the needed knowledge and skills on how to use the platform specifically in managing and hosting a virtual meeting, training, conference and other online activities.

Asst. LG-CDD Chief Lee Allen Pineda, in his welcome message, encouraged everyone to fully utilize and maximize the advantage of the Zoom application. He further urged them to share the learnings gained in the activity to co-employees in respective area of assignment.

Regional Information and Communication Technology Unit (RICTU) staff, who served as training facilitators, discussed the overview of Zoom, its web portal management, basic features, process on meeting scheduling, general settings (audio, video and recording) including a walkthrough on its operations and management. The participants also had simulation exercises on the special features of the said application.
