The National Inter-Agency Task Force (NIATF) convenes with the Bulacan functionaries for a Coordinated Operations to Defeat Epidemic (CODE) visit in the Province on August 15, 2020.
This visit's aim was to do active case finding through close coordination between DOH representatives and communities across the country.
According to the DOH, CODE is a patient and community focused response strategy with key elements incorporated from the Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Test-Treat strategy. Key components thereof include (1) community engagement activities to promote preventive behaviors, (2) active case finding via house to house symptom checks, (3) RT-PCR testing for symptomatic patients, and (4) Oplan Kalinga application for those needing quarantine and Isolation.
The visit also aimed to discuss and recommend strategies to improve the current efforts of the local government to contain the spread of COVID-19 and mitigate its impact.

Maria Francia Laxamana; DTI Asec Dominic Tolentino, Jr.; PCW Chairperson Sandra Montano; other members of the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 and Inter Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID); NGA representatives; and LGU officials in Bulacan.
