A virtual meeting held on July 23, 2020 was facilitated by the Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force, which is chaired by Governor Daniel R. Fernando, to discuss the strategies and other updates of the province to all Punong Barangays in the preventing the COVID-19 virus.

The following were the topics discussed during the meeting: 1) Bulacan COVID-19 Situation; 2) Survey of Bulacan residents working outside the province; 3) Zoning containment Strategy; 4) DILG Memorandum on Home Quarantine; and 5) Public information on COVID-19.

In his message, Governor Fernando explained why the province has the highest number of cases in the country. He said it is because the National Capital Region, the first epicentre of the virus in the country, is just right next to Bulacan. He also encouraged everyone to take extra precautions by always carrying an alcohol and proper washing of hands.

Moreover, PD Darwin David presented the zoning containment strategy and DILG Memorandum on home quarantine. “Alam po natin na marami tayong ginawang strategies sa mga nakaraang buwan and yet parang sa tingin po natin hindi pa rin sapat lalo na’t affected ang ating ekonomiya. So ito po ‘yung challenge kung paano natin ma-implement o mabigyan ng solusyon upang maging effective o efficient para mareduce natin ang spread ng disease without causing enormous strain to the economy”.

The meeting was divided into four (4) batches to accommodate all Punong Barangays in the province.
