DILG Olongapo City advocated "Disiplina Muna" Campaign during its official launching at Camp Manuel F. Cabal, Olongapo City on July 13 to promote culture of discipline, and encourage the Olongapo City Police and other law enforcement agencies to actively participate in the said movement.
"Discipline must be instilled in the minds and hearts of everyone," stressed DILG City Director Amada T. Dumagat during her message. "Without discipline, we cannot ensure the success of the implementation of the programs and projects of the government." She added.
LGOO II Vincent E. Catacutan presented the principles behind Disiplina Muna, as well as the DILG Pillar Programs related to the campaign.
Afterwards, a ceremonial oath-taking and commitment signing took off in support to Disiplina Muna as part of the launching activity.
The Disiplina Muna National Advocacy Campaign aims to change the hearts and minds of the citizens and uplift the Filipino culture of discipline necessary to bring about sustainable development.
"This (discipline) is one of the determining factors of development," said PNP City Director Benjamin Sembrano. "We are hoping that through this Disiplina Muna Campaign Advocacy, we will be able to develop the mindset and behavior of our community, and promote their active participation in peace and development towards nation building," he added.
