Before the year comes to a wrap, DILG Pampanga held an annual review on December 12 and 13, at Xenia Hotel to assess the implementation of the priority programs and projects of the Department in 2019.

Foremost in the activity's agenda is the extensive discussion on the performance of the Peace and Order Council (POC) and Anti-drug Abuse Council (ADAC) in the 21 LGUs of Pampanga and the functionality rating received by the respective councils in the recent national assessment.
The review served to highlight the strengths of the LGUs in the implementation of the peace and order program in their locality, as well as identify and analyze the weaknesses and gaps in their performance so that appropriate interventions may be provided by the Department to ensure the sustainability of the programs at the local level.
Also discussed was the action plan to mainstream the Retooled Community Support Program in the LGUs, which seeks to empower communities by engaging and involving them in the attainment of peace and development in their area.
Strengthening the capacity of DILG Pampanga's field officers as POC secretariat was likewise integral in the annual review to better position and equip them for the task at hand.
Moving forward, insights and expectations for the coming year were set to help the team improve its performance further in the coming year.
