The Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (IMTF) chaired by the Department of the Interior and Local Government reviewed and validated the Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) Data Capture Forms (DCFs) and supporting documents of the 32 LGUs in Nueva Ecija on October 17, 2019 at DILG Nueva Ecija Provincial Office.
LGOO VII Fortunato M. Abraham III provided an overview and guidance on the audit emphasizing the purpose of the CFLGA which is to assess LGU performance in delivering child-friendly policies, programs, and services. He also stressed that the audit-generated data and results will serve as basis for LGUs and NGAs to identify strengths and opportunities worth emulating and strengthen child rights governance in the country.
Subsequently, LGOO II Maricar Janice Perez explained the revised indicators on which the LGUs' performance will be assessed namely: survival development, protection, participation, and governance. LGOO II Perez also expounded on the valid supporting documents per indicator.
The members of Provincial IMTF who reviewed the CFLGA supporting documents of cities and municipalities in the province include DILG CFLGA Focal and Alternate Focal Persons, DILG Provincial staff, Elvira Ronquillo and Josephine Padilla of Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Maria Victoria J. Cabanada of Provincial Planning and Development Office, Dr. Josefina J. Garcia of Provincial Health Office, Marife D. Irang of Department of Education, Din Paulo Javate, Jewelyn Faith L. Castillo and Ma. Cristina Faye A. Martin of Ako ang Saklay, Inc., and NiƱa F. Aquino, Sangguniang Panlalawigan representative.
