The Department of Interior and Local Government-Region III, through the Capability Development Division (CDD) and Regional Information and Communication Technology Unit (RICTU), conducted 3-day Regional Rollout/Training on the Policy Compliance Monitoring System (PCMS), Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangay (SGLGB) Application System, Proposed Gender and Development (GAD) Plan and Budget Online Monitoring System and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Literacy on September 17-19, 2019 at Diamond Spring and Grace Crown Hotel, Balibago, Angeles City.
It was attended by one hundred fifty (150) participants composed of City Local Government Operations Officers (CLGOOs), Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs), Program Managers (PMs), and Regional, Provincial and Highly Urbanized City (HUC) SGLGB and GAD Focal Persons in the region.
The activity was aimed to capacitate the participants with the needed knowledge and skills in using these online application systems as well as on ICT literacy specifically on Microsoft Office, Internet Browsing and Basic Troubleshooting.
Personnel and focal persons from the Information Systems and Technology Management Service (ISTMS) including focal person from Planning Service (PS) served as resource persons during the activity.
LG-CDD Chief Ener P. Cambronero, in his message, expressed his appreciation on the online information systems developed by the Department. He said that these will make the work and reports submission of field officers easier. Further, he thanked all the participants on their efforts and time in attending the activity in order to learn the new systems being introduced by the Central Office.
With the implementation of the Medium Term Information and Communication Technology Harmonization Initiative (MITHI)-approved Information Systems Strategic Plan (ISSP) 2018-2020, the SGLGB application system, PCMS and GAD Plan and Budget Monitoring System have developed by the ISTMS in coordination with the concerned bureaus and offices. These information systems (IS) support the mandate of the department on the general supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of the Local Government Units.##
