Baler, Aurora- The Department of the Interior and Local Government Provincial Office of Aurora through Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac Jr., spearheaded the conduct of Orientation on Strengthening Barangay Anti- Drug Abuse Council on September 21, 2018 at AMCO Beach Resort, Baler, Aurora.

The activity aims to orient the BADAC members of twenty five (25) target barangays on their roles and responsibilities pursuant to the existing policies; appraise them on the illegal problem on national and local context; and on the formulation of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) Plan.

"Ang trabahong ito ay hindi kayo-kayo lang, hindi kami- kami lang, kundi tayo ang magtutulungan. Ang pagsugpo sa Illegal na droga ay trabaho ng bawat isa", said Provincial Director Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac Jr. in his message.  He also assured the continuous support of the Department in the fight against illegal drugs."

On the same note, Provincial Director PSSUPT Jonas T Amparo in his message said, "Huwag nyo pong solohin ang trabaho. Nandito po ang PNP, PDEA, Lokal na Pamahalaan at and DILG para sugpuin ang illegal na droga."

Workshops on the formulation of BADAC Plan and strategic planning was held and  facilitated by CTL LGOO VII Ariel G. Espinosa, LGOO V Rossella V. Placido, LGOO II Madam Cassey N. Buenaventura and ADA IV Gerald Philip C. Esteves.
