CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region III conducted the Orientation of Provincial Assessment Teams (PATs) on Enhancing LGU Capacity on the Planning and Implementation of Development Projects on September 20, 2018 at the DILG Region III Conference Room. It was participated by Cluster Team Leaders, Municipal Local Government Operations Officers, and representatives from Provincial Governments and partner Local Resource Institutes.

This orientation was one of the follow-through activities of the recently conducted competency assessment where the identification of LGUs in Region 3 to be provided with capacity development activities took place.

Aside from the presentation of the different modules provided by the Local Government Academy (LGA), the activity also involved a workshop on the preparation of Provincial Action Plans for the actual provision of the needed capacity development.

Through the conduct of these activities, the competency level of Local Development Councils (LDCs) is expected to be developed to enable them to set the strategic directions and develop the plans of their respective provinces and municipalities.
