The Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) Meeting chaired by Governor Amor D. Deloso held a joint meeting on December 7, 2016 at the Zambales Training and Conference Center to gather updates on the peace and order situation of the province and the intensified campaign against illegal drugs.
In line with the participative approach in governance, Governor Amor D. Deloso in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) headed by Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad led the two-day workshop on the formulation of the new administration's Executive-Legislative Agenda (ELA) and Capacity Development Agenda (CapDev) on November 17-18, 2016 at the Subic Bay Venezia Hotel, SBFZ.
DILG Zambales led by Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad awarded the 2nd tranche of DILG Locally-Funded Projects for Bottom Up Budgeting (BuB) 2015 of Sta. Cruz, Zambales worth Php 762,900.00 on April 27, 2016 at the DILG Provincial Office. It was received by MPDO Engr. Jojo Meridor witnessed by Diana Ocampo from the Municipal Treasurer's Office, 4Ps Parent Leader and LPRAP signatory Jane Nilo and OIC-MLGOO Reden Morris M. Vergara.
Bottom-Up Budgeting (BuB) funds amounting to P3.5 billion have been allocated to Region 3, with Zambales getting a P384M share of the budget for the implementation of its 325 identified BUB projects from 2015 to 2016. Of the total 325 projects, 150 are 2015 BUB Projects while 175 are 2016 BUB Projects.
The Spanish Government through the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) with a project entitled "Strengthening the Capacities of Philippine Local Governments in Disaster Risk Reduction aims to strengthen the system of disaster risk reduction in the Philippines, focusing at the LGU and community level.
