The City and Municipal Peace and Order Councils (POCs) in the province of Pampanga were subjected to an audit to assess its functionality and performance as the Provincial Audit Team for the 2017 POC Performance Audit commenced with its table validation on October 3 and final assessment on October 8, 2018.

This was the message of DILG Assistant Regional Director Jay E. Timbreza during the ribbon cutting and turn-over ceremony of the completed Reformation Center in the Municipality of San Simon called as Balay Silangan on October 8, 2018, which will house drug surrenders from the town and prepare them to become productive citizens through rehabilitation and livelihood training.

In order to identify gaps and develop best practices for Local Peace and Order Councils (POC), DILG Aurora Provincial Director Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac Jr spearheaded the conduct of the 2017 Peace and Order Council 1st Level Performance Audit on October 4, 2018 at AMCO Beach Resort.

ANGELES CITY.- One of the major roles of DILG is to ensure that LGUs are disaster resilient and compliant to Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010 or Republic Act of 10121. This mandates LGUs to facilitate and support risk assessment and contingency planning at the local level. On October 2-4, 2018, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office conducted citywide Earthquake Contingency Plan Formulation Workshop. The participants were members of the CDRRM Council, wherein the DILG is a member. The objective of the training is to update the City's Contingency Plan. The Office of Civil Defense were the resource speakers during the three day activity.

Malolos, Bulacan - One of the major deliverables of CMGP is the development of the Provincial Governance Reforms Roadmap (PGRR) of the Provincial Local Government Units (PLGUs). In relation hereto, a two-day provincial assessment and mentoring workshop on Local Road Management (LRM) and Public Financial Management (PFM) was held to prepare the PLGU in the training workshop on the formulation of the PGRR.
