A total of 68 or 83% percent of the 82 programmed projects in 2014 being administered by the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region III have been completed by implementing Local Government Units (LGUs) all over Central Luzon.

Disaster preparedness from the community down to the households was the key message of the National Launch of the L!stong Pamayanan at L!stong Pamilyang Pilipino of the Operation L!sto program, an initiative of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), held on April 25 at Clark Freeport, Pampanga.

In order to increase awareness and preparation for "The Big One", a magnitude 7.2 earthquake that is expected to hit and paralyze Metro Manila anytime, representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG R3) joined the various government agencies and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill at the Air Force City, Clark Airbase, Pampanga on April 21 led by the National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council (NDRRMC).

San Fernando, Pampanga- On April 21 at exactly 9:00 a.m., the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region III (DILG-R3) participated in the 1st Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) to ensure preparedness during complications of an actual earthquake.
