Iba, Zambales. On August 8, 2017, LGU Officials led by Honorable Mayor Jun Rundstedt C. Ebdane and Vice Mayor Irenea Maniquiz-Biñan and the people of Iba, Zambales, joined the forty nine (49) other LGUs in the simultaneous lighting of the ASEAN Lanterns. With the theme: "Under One Light, We are One ASEAN", the activity symbolizes ASEAN's important role as the light that guides the path of the ASEAN Member countries.
The National Validation for the 2017 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) kicked off and the Municipalities of Castillejos and San Antonio were among the local government units (LGUs) that were assessed by Region XIII representative LGOO VII Ray Gregory F. Jaranilla on August 14, 2017.
The Liga ng mga Barangay – Zambales Chapter with its President, Hon. Romelino R. Gojo in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government Zambales under the leadership of PD Armi V. Bactad conducted a Seminar-Workshop on Gender Responsive Barangays and Barangay Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan (POPSP) Formulation on May 10-12 and 16-18, 2017 at Vista Marina Hotel, SBFZ.
