PAG-ASA Weather Update

Committed to enhance the planning process of the local government unit (LGU), the Municipal Government of Lupao, Nueva Ecija embarked on the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) project. Selected community volunteers were tapped by the LGU to act as enumerators and editors.

LGOO II Johnny F. Mandocdoc of DILG Bataan, LGOO II Rossela V. Placido of DILG Nueva Ecija and LGOOs II Anna Marie Batad andChristine De Leon of LGCDD from the Regional Office provided technical assistance during the CBMS Module 1 training held on June 26 – 30, 2017. The project was funded out of Bottom-Up Budgeting (BUB) Program CY 2016 with an amount of P800,000.00.

The Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) is an organized process of data collection and processing at the local level and of integration of data in local planning, program implementation and impact-monitoring. It is a system that promotes evidence-based policymaking and program implementation while empowering communities to participate in the process.
