Department of the Interior and Local Government Pampanga Provincial Office capacitates barangay officials and functionaries on peace and order and public safety (POPS) planning through a series of seminar-workshops on the formulation of said mandatory plan.

DILG Pampanga Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia emphasized to barangays that the conduct of such training is mandated to the barangays highlighting their roles and functions, proper programming and funding allocation for the maintenance of peace and order in their locality.
Conducted in coordination with the Provincial Liga ng mga Barangay Chapter under the leadership of Board Member Atty. Gerome Tubig, the three (3)-day activity is participated by the members of the Barangay Peace and Order Committees (BPOCs) in all barangays of Pampanga, ultimately crafting realistic measures to counter criminality based on the actual scenarios in their jurisdiction.
The BPOPS Plan is a mechanism introduced by the Department to enable Local Government Units to compose and strategize their actions towards the promotion of Peace and Order and Public Safety, which stands as the prime thrust of President Rodrigo Duterte's administration.
The series of activities to cover all 21 cities and municipalities in the Province of Pampanga stretched through May to first week of July.
