PAG-ASA Weather Update

Olongapo City- The Department of the Interior and Local Government-Olongapo City, in coordination with the City Government, conducted pre-validation briefing and mock assessment on May 4, 2017 to ensure the preparation of the city for the upcoming Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Regional Validation.

 Supporting to the city's performance evaluation, City Vice-Mayor Aquilino Cortez, Jr., and SGLG Focal Persons, and representatives of the City Departments and National Government Agencies took part in the said undertaking.

"We are not giving all our efforts only to meet the indicators of this year's SGLG for the financial incentives or citation," emphasized OIC-CD Amada T. Dumagat, on her opening remarks. "The attainment of the Seal shows our determination to improve the delivery of our services to the public, thus bringing more developmental opportunities in the city."

LGOO VI Melissa Nipal, SGLG Focal Person, preceded the mock assessment. She urged the body to reassure that remaining vital documents and arrangements will be ready before the regional validation.

In light of national government thrusts, organizational commitments, and emerging good governance frameworks, the SGLG further aligns its parameters to help meet expectations and contribute in realizing target outcomes relative to local governance.
