Olongapo City Incident Management Team implemented Oplan SUMVAC (Summer Vacation) 2017.

The said move is in anticipation for the influx of locals and tourists in the city during the Holy Week and summer months.

To ensure immediate response in case of an incident, City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), City Health Office (CHO), Office of the Traffic Management & Public Safety (OTMPS), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and other City Departments sent representatives to the Incident Command Post (ICP) situated in front of the city hall during the Holy Week.

SUMVAC stations were also placed in strategic areas all over the city to assist the public, and monitor and report situation in their respective areas of responsibility.

BFP stationed fire trucks in front of the ICP to act on possible of fire occurrence without delay.

PNP set Police Assistance Desks in populous places to prevent unlawful acts, and attend to crime-related reports from the public.

As a project of City Mayor Rolen C. Paulino, dubbed as "Tubig Para Kay Juan," the City Government provided free bottled water to the residents and tourists for heat stroke prevention.

Oplan SUMVAC aims to ensure health, safety and security of the public, and no casualty during the operational period.
