DILG Region 3, through its Local Development Planning and Special Programs Section, Local Government Capability Development Division, in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office 3 (PSA RSSO 3) and the National Economic and Development Council Region 3 (NEDA R3), spearheaded the conduct of the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Advocacy Forum on October 28, 2022 via Zoom and Facebook Live.

During his message, DILG Region 3 Assistant Regional Director Jay E. Timbreza stressed on the importance of the CBMS in paving the way for our government to pursue the policy of the State to free the people from poverty through policies that provide adequate social services, deliver a rising standard of living, promote full employment, and make available an improved quality of life for all.

"With the adoption and institutionalization of this Community-Based Monitoring System, we can now generate updated and disaggregated data necessary in targeting beneficiaries, conducting more comprehensive poverty analysis and needs prioritization, designing appropriate policies and interventions, and monitoring impact over time... with sustained collaboration with our stakeholders and partners, we can accomplish so much and reach greater heights for the successful implementation of the CBMS for the Filipino People", ARD Timbreza said.

The CBMS Advocacy Forum is one of the many initiatives conducted by DILG Region 3, in collaboration with stakeholders and partners, to further strengthen the CBMS promotional campaign. This activity was aimed at highlighting the importance of CBMS on local and regional planning, and encouraging more local government units to implement the system.
