Five former members of the New People's Army (NPA) and one former Militia ng Bayan (MB) member who returned to the folds of the law are well on their way to a new life after receiving immediate cash assistance and livelihood assistance under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) of DILG.

In a simple awarding ceremony held at the DILG Pampanga Provincial Office, the ECLIP Committee members led the distribution of financial assistance to the beneficiaries which will be used by the FRs to start a small business and help them sustain their day-to-day needs.

Provincial Director Myra Moral-Soriano congratulated each one for making the life-changing decision of leaving their former organization and restoring their allegiance to the government. She also urged them not to be swayed once again by communist terrorist groups and to instead work with the government to sustain the gains on peace and development.

Meanwhile, Alyas Isko thanked DILG and the national government for the assistance they received. He said that the money will significantly help him and his family slowly build a peaceful life away from violence and fear.
Other members present during the awarding were PLTCOL Eduardo S Guevarra, Jr of PNP, Major Ronimar Abrero of AFP 70th IB, SWO IV Jill Matienzo, and handler PMAJ Karl Marlo Sanchez.
