Paombong, Bulacan – In behalf of the DILG Regional Office, Bulacan Provincial Director Darwin David attended the Blessing and Inauguration of Paombong Evacuation Center on February 04, 2019 at Brgy. Poblacion, Paombong, Bulacan. The said blessing and inauguration was led by Paombong Mayor Maryanne Marcos.

The newly inaugurated evacuation center was funded through one of the Locally Funded Projects of the Department which is the Assistance to Municipalities (AM) Program for the funding year 2018. It is a three-storey evacuation center that can cater approximately 14 barangays. It has a well-ventilated rooms with a separate restroom/bathroom for male and female on each floor.

As the country is facing very unpredictable occurrences in the environment, it is important for a municipality like Paombong which is very prone to flooding, to have an evacuation center that can be very useful in case of disasters.
