The Provincial Government of Aurora thru the Provincial Planning and Development Office, in collaboration with the DILG and the CBMS Network, conducted its first province-wide Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) at Moreno Lodge, Baler, Aurora last January 18-20, 2016.
With about 100 participants from the eight (8) municipalities, the CBMS data collection will be implemented at the province starting February using android-based tablets in the CBMS Accelerated Poverty Profiling (APP). Participants of the training include enumerators, field editors and field coordinators.
LGUs’ demand for the need of obtaining a complete and reliable household data called for the implementation of the CBMS which they will use as basis for planning and policy making.
Governor Gerardo A. Noveras delivered his message of support to the project. He recognizes the importance of CBMS in providing the appropriate intervention to resolve poverty in the province.
LGOO V Hannah Marie O. Agas and LGOO V Melody E. Valdez served as resource speakers in the activity. The three-day activity consists of discussions on the Household Profile Questionnaire, Barangay Profile Questionnaire and CBMS Scan and Portal as well as Simulation Exercises/Role Playing.
