Reaffirming its commitment to fostering a safe, healthy, and drug-free working environment, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Office III conducted a surprise Mandatory Random Drug Testing for its employees on November 17, 2025.
This initiative ensures the Regional Office’s continued compliance with Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2023-025, and Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Regulation No. 2, series of 2004, which mandate regular drug testing in government institutions to strengthen workplace integrity and accountability.
The testing was facilitated by Parian Diagnostic Laboratory, whose certified medical technologists administered the procedures in accordance with established industry and government standards. All stages of the process adhered strictly to chain-of-custody protocols, ensuring that the testing remained accurate, credible, and professionally executed.
DILG R3 underscored its commitment to safeguarding the privacy, confidentiality, and constitutional rights of all personnel throughout the activity. Appropriate measures were implemented to uphold the dignity of each participant while reinforcing the agency’s role in promoting a drug-free bureaucracy.
Through this effort, DILG Regional Office III affirms its dedication to sustaining a culture of workplace discipline, strengthening public trust, and supporting the national government’s continuing anti-drug campaign.
