   The Local Governance Regional Resource Center -3 formalized its partnership with the members of the Multi Sectoral Advisory Committee (MSAC) through the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on May 24, 2013 at DILG Regional Office 3.  

    During the MOA Signing, DILG R-3 and the LGRRC Stakeholders agreed to jointly pool knowledge and expertise on the different areas of local governance.  Likewise, agreements in the MOA include the mobilization of their resources to support knowledge management programs and plans; creation of MSAC Technical Working Group (TWG) comprising permanent representatives of members; attendance and participation in all MSAC activities and regular meeting for the assessment of the operations of LGRRC III; and analysis and review of results of regularly conducted local governance knowledge management environment and the characteristics of its supply and demand in the region.

    The MSAC is composed of the DILG represented by Regional Director Florida Dijan as Chairman.  Members of the committee are Regional Directors of Civil Service Commission, Department of Budget and Management, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Philippine National Police, Chairman of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Politics,     Curia Sancti Rosaril, Inc., Presidents of Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc., Holy Angel University, Central Luzon State University, Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University and Proprietor of My Creative Panda Web Page Design and Development Consultancy Services.  

    In her opening message, RD Florida Dijan thanked the members of the committee for their support in the program.  She likewise emphasized that the DILG definitely needs partners like them in order to achieve its vision of being the primary catalyst for excellence in local governance. ARD Abraham Pascua on the other hand said that the MOA signing is just a formalization of the DILG’s partnership with the above mentioned NGAs, Academe, CSOs and private organizations.  He mentioned that DILG R-3 has already established good working relationship with them.  

    In their brief responses, the MSAC members gave assurance of their support to the LGRC and thanked the DILG for considering them to be part of the MSAC.
