Bataan Provincial Council for the Welfare of Children (PCWC) awards the highly-functional Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) during its Provincial/City/Municipal/Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children Summit 2018 on December 27, 2018 at Lou-is Restaurant, Capitol Drive, Balanga City, Bataan.

The Provincial/City/Municipal/ Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children Summit, formerly known as Kabataan Awards, is an annual gathering made to highlight and acknowledge the efforts and initiatives of Bataan LCPCs at different levels who participated in every intervention facilitated by the PCWC. The event aims to encourage the sustainability of Child-Friendly Local Governance, observe good practices, establish linkage and strong coordination among LCPCs.

The LnB Provincial Chapter Elections of the Province of Bataan was conducted on July 30, 2018, at Mahogany Hall, Lou-is Restaurant, Capitol Drive, City of Balanga.

The activity was attended by the 12 LnB City/Municipal Presidents of the Province, Board of Election Supervisors (BES) composing of Myra B. Moral-Soriano, CESO V (Provincial Director, DILG Bataan) as Chairperson, Atty. Gilbert S. Almario (Provincial Election Supervisor, COMELEC Bataan), Reynaldo B. Gonzales (Church Leader Representative, Knights of Columbus), and Ernesto T. Robles, Jr. (DepEd Supervisor), as members.

The Municipality of Dinalupihan, headed by Mayor Gila Garcia, received three awards during the “12th Recognition of Outstanding Central Luzon LGUs implementing the Streamlining Program in the Issuance of Mayor’s Permit” held on June 29, 2018 at Diwa ng Tarlak Convention Center, Tarlac City.
