SGLGIF INSPECTION 1

 

Baler, Aurora — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Aurora Provincial Monitoring Team conducted a series of inspections on January 22, 2026, to assess the progress and completion of key infrastructure projects funded under the Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) 2024, highlighting the continued commitment to strengthening health services and enhancing public safety across Aurora.

 

The inspection team, led by Engr. III Kenny Jean N. Iniwan, with the assistance of Engr. II Ginalyn G. Sumait, initially inspected the Construction of the Provincial Health Office Storage Facility and Dedicated Vaccine Room located within the Aurora Memorial Hospital (AMH) Compound in Barangay Reserva, Baler, Aurora.

The facility has a total project cost of ₱3,000,000.00, funded under the SGLGIF 2024 and implemented by the Provincial Government of Aurora. The inspection was conducted in coordination with representatives from the Provincial Engineering Office, namely Engr. Kevin Dexter Peneyra and Engr. Jeremy Caballes.

Based on the inspection, the project has attained 84% physical accomplishment. Only minimal issues were noted and thoroughly discussed during the exit conference. Once completed, the facility is expected to significantly enhance vaccine storage capacity and ensure the maintenance of proper temperature requirements, thereby strengthening the province’s health service delivery.

 

Following the inspection, Engr. Iniwan and Engr. Sumait proceeded to Aguang Bridge, Baler, Aurora to verify the completion of the Construction/Installation of Streetlights project. They were joined by representatives from the Local Government Unit of Baler, namely:  Engr. Manuel Hernandez, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator; Engr. Sofronio Raul A. Egargue, Municipal Engineer; Engr. Ben John Michael D. Marasigan; and Engr. Dranrebh Roda.

The project was confirmed to be 100% complete and is now fully operational. The installation of streetlights aims to improve road visibility, safety, and security for motorists, residents, tourists, and nearby businesses, particularly during nighttime.

The streetlight project was implemented with a total budget of ₱1,153,000.00, funded under the Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) 2024, reinforcing the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and public safety.
