BALER, AURORA — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Aurora, led by Provincial Director Ener P. Cambronero, CESO V, conducted a post-disaster monitoring visit today, November 10, 2025, to assess the situation of communities affected by #UwanPH in coastal barangays of Baler.

The monitoring team visited Sitio Castillo and Sitio Cemento in Barangay Zabali, areas that were among the most affected by heavy rains and strong winds brought by the weather disturbance. The visit aimed to evaluate the extent of damage, ensure the safety and welfare of affected residents, and coordinate necessary interventions with local authorities.

The team also visited the evacuation center at Mount Carmel College, the nearest designated site for displaced families from the affected coastal communities. The visit focused on post-evacuation monitoring, verifying that evacuees had safely returned to their homes and that the center was ready for reactivation if needed in future weather disturbances.


Following the site visit, the DILG Aurora team proceeded to the Aurora Emergency Operations Center (EOC), where PD Cambronero met with Engr. Lee Dungca and Engr. Cristina Dela Cruz to discuss evacuation updates and ongoing disaster response operations.

The monitoring activity underscores the Department’s commitment to ensuring responsive local governance and coordinated disaster management efforts, especially in times of emergencies. DILG Aurora continues to work closely with the Provincial Government of Aurora, the municipal local government units, and other partner agencies to strengthen preparedness, response, and recovery measures for affected communities.
