On October 20, 2025, the Provincial Assessment Committee convened at the DILG Aurora Provincial Office in Baler, Aurora, to conduct the Provincial Table Validation for the FY 2024 Peace and Order Council (POC) Performance Audit.

The core mission of the POC is to unite efforts in combating critical societal issues, including various forms of criminality, the pervasive problem of illegal drugs, the persistent threat of insurgency, and the spread of violent extremism. By bringing diverse entities together, the POC ensures a comprehensive and coordinated response, moving beyond fragmented or isolated initiatives.

To thoroughly assess the impact of these initiatives and in continuous pursuit of more responsive and data-driven capacity development (CAPDEV) interventions, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Aurora office spearheaded an extensive evaluation. This activity assessed the functionality of the province's component Municipal Peace and Order Councils (MPOCs), identified necessary capacity development interventions, and highlighted shareable innovations. This was achieved through a meticulous review and comprehensive validation of electronically uploaded Means of Verification (MOVs) against defined indicators, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the audit findings.

Members of the Provincial Assessment Committee from the PNP, BFP, BJMP, AFP and Adventist Community Services are present, along with the DILG POC Head Secretariat and focal persons.

The Peace and Order Council (POC) serves as a vital component of the government's strategy to ensure peace and public safety at the local level. It acts as the primary platform for fostering strong collaboration among local government units (LGUs), law enforcement agencies, and the community. This integrated approach is essential for addressing complex challenges that threaten stability and development.
