The major P10 million road project in Barangay Buhangin, Baler, is moving into its final stage of completion.
This work covers the roads in Purok 2 and Purok 5, which are the last sections of a large effort to pave various key areas within the barangay. Once these are complete, the entire project, funded by the FY 2024 LGSF-FALGU of the Local Government Unit of Baler, will be 100% complete.
To ensure the construction meets the standard, specifications, and quality, a joint team carried out an inspection on October 10, 2025. Representing the DILG Provincial Project Monitoring Team were Engr. Kenny Jean N. Iniwan and ADAS II Ricah Joy V. Serafines, and they were joined by MLGOO Melody E. Valdez and Municipal Engineering Office personnel, Engr. Benjohn Marasigan.
The inspection confirmed that the concreting work on the Purok 2 and Purok 5 roads is now nearly completed. The construction of roads in these two additional locations concludes the project in accordance with the plan and as a response to the challenges encountered in the previous locations.
Despite the observed minor issues in the project, the new and sturdy concrete roads will be a significant help to residents living in these inner residential streets.
