Maria Aurora, Aurora — A new rescue vehicle, valued at ₱1,499,200.00, was officially turned over by the Municipality of Maria Aurora to Barangay Bazal on September 19, 2025. The vehicle was funded under the SGLG Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) of LGU Maria Aurora for Fiscal Year 2024 valued at ₱1,153,000.00, and added fund from the local government amounting to ₱346,200.00.
The inauguration and turnover ceremony, held at the Maria Aurora Municipal Hall, was attended by key officials, including Municipal Mayor Ariel S. Bitong and Vice Mayor Enrico O. Cordova. The event was also graced by the DILG PDMU Chief Engr. Mc Gyver T. David, DILG Aurora CTL Ariel G. Espinosa, and MLGOO Mary Joyce T. Bautista.
In the message of Regional Director Araceli A. San Jose, CESO III, delivered on her behalf by PDMU Chief Engr. David, she highlighted the true value of the vehicle beyond its monetary cost.
"Ang rescue vehicle na ating ipagkakaloob ngayon ay hindi lamang dagdag na sasakyan kung hindi, ito po ay dagdag na pag-asa, dagdag na proteksyon, at dagdag na kasiguraduhan po na sa oras ng pangangailangan po ay may sasaklolo na sa ating mga kababayan," she stated.
Barangay Captain Felilia D. Briones expressed her deep gratitude, thanking the DILG and LGU Maria Aurora for choosing her barangay as the recipient of this vital project.
The new vehicle is expected to significantly enhance the barangay's emergency response capabilities, providing a crucial resource for the safety and security of its residents.
