Dinalungan, Aurora – DILG Aurora Provincial Director Ener P. Cambronero, CESE, graced the inauguration of the LGU’s newly installed 40 sets of solar streetlights funded under the FY 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) on July 28, 2025.

LGOO VI Madam Cassey B. Gonzales, Municipal Government Operations Officer of Dinalungan, extended a warm welcome to all attendees during the project turnover and acceptance ceremony.

The event was led by Hon. Arvee A. Vargas, Municipal Mayor, supported by Hon. Manuel A. Torres, Vice Mayor, and attended by other local government officials, community stakeholders, and residents—marking a major milestone in the transition toward safer and more sustainable road infrastructure for the municipality.

MLGOO Gonzales provided an overview of the project, highlighting that the project was made possible through the collective effort of all local officials and stakeholders. She emphasized that the fund incentive is a direct outcome of the shared commitment and collaboration across sectors.

Among the participants from DILG Aurora were Cluster Team Leader Ariel G. Espinosa, LGOO VI Reyner L. Buenconsejo, LGOO V Bon Paby B. Mingua, and Engr. II. Kenny Jean N. Iniwan, who joined in celebrating the inauguration and symbolic turnover of documents marking project completion.

Vice Mayor Torres expressed heartfelt gratitude to the DILG, particularly acknowledging MLGOO Gonzales for her guidance and unwavering support, especially in assisting Dinalungan in achieving its first-ever SGLG recognition.

Meanwhile, Mayor Vargas delivered an inspiring message, stating that the awards are mere bonuses—but that the real objective remains the establishment of lasting best practices and genuine, selfless service to their constituents.

EP3 4Provincial Director Cambronero emphasized DILG’s continued partnership and commitment, saying, “Kami po ay kaisa ninyo… ang DILG po ay patuloy ninyong maasahan, magiging katuwang ninyo sa lahat ng adhikain para sa ikakabuti ng mamamayan ng Dinalungan.”

To formally conclude the activity, Municipal Engineer Julius J. Pablo delivered a closing remark urging the community to conscientiously preserve the project so that it may provide long‑lasting service to the LGU.

Project Description: The installation of 40 sets of solar street lights is expected to significantly enhance safety and security for drivers, commuters, and local residents in the surrounding area. By providing adequate lighting, the project aims to reduce crime rates and create a safer environment for pedestrians at night, thereby promoting the effective use of pedestrian lanes.
