Baler, Aurora – A new set of the Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines (VMLP) Aurora Chapter Officers was proclaimed during the 2025 VMLP Provincial Chapter Election on 25 July 2025 at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Legislative Building, Baler, Aurora.
The provincial chapter election was facilitated by the DILG Aurora, headed by PD Ener P Cambronero, in accordance with the guidelines set by the VMLP. The said election brought together the vice mayors across the Province of Aurora to select a new leadership that will advocate the organization’s initiatives and programs at the local level.
Vice Mayor Denise Alyanna DJ Angara of Baler, who now serves as the President of the VMLP Aurora Chapter is a first-term vice mayor from the municipality of Baler. Her election reflects a strong vote of confidence from her fellow vice mayors in her leadership and fresh perspective.
The newly elected VMLP Aurora Chapter Officers are as follows:
• President: Vice Mayor Denise Alyanna DJ Angara (Baler)
• Vice President: Vice Mayor Enrico O. Cordova (Maria Aurora)
• Secretary-General: Vice Mayor Abigail G. Tan (Dingalan)
• Treasurer: Vice Mayor Franklin J. Reyes (Dipaculao)
• Auditor: Vice Mayor Francisco C. Alonzo (Dilasag)
• Public Relations Officer (P.R.O.): Vice Mayor Eugene B. Calugtong (Casiguran)
• Board of Directors:
o Vice Mayor Manuel A. Torres (Dinalungan)
o Vice Mayor Christopher A. Marzan (San Luis)
The newly elected officers were called to lead initiatives and to strengthen collaboration among the vice mayors of Aurora, promote transparency and accountability in local governance, and support the broader programs of the VMLP.
