Casiguran, Aurora – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Aurora Provincial Project Monitoring Team (PPMT), in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) Inspectorate Team, conducted a follow-up inspection on June 17, 2025, of the ongoing 461-meter Farm-to-Market Road project located in Barangay Cozo, Casiguran.

This routine monthly evaluation aims to ensure that the project remains compliant with national standards, maintains construction quality, and progresses toward timely completion. The initiative is part of DILG’s broader commitment to strengthening rural infrastructure and enhancing local economic opportunities for farming communities.

The inspection team was composed of Engr. III Rosanna C. Hernandez and Engr. II Kenny Jean N. Iniwan of DILG Aurora, along with Municipal Engineering Office representatives Engr. Menandro M. Lapada and Engr. Jomel Arcos. The team conducted a comprehensive on-site evaluation to assess the progress and quality of the project implementation.

As of the latest update, the road project is nearing 90% completion. However, due to delays and negative slippage observed in earlier phases, liquidated damages have already been imposed on the contractor in accordance with government policies on project execution.

Following the field validation, an exit conference was held with the LGU Inspectorate Team to present inspection findings, discuss identified issues, and agree on necessary corrective actions. The collaborative session highlighted the importance of compliance with technical specifications and construction timelines to ensure the project's successful and timely completion.
