The DILG Aurora Provincial Project Monitoring Team (PPMT), in coordination with the local functionaries of LGU Maria Aurora, conducted a final inspection of the recently completed FY 2024 LGSF-Support to Barangay Development Program on April 10, 2025. The constructed 341 meters of Road increased the accessibility of residents in and out of the barangay, and eased the transport of farm produce to the market.
During the inspection, direct beneficiaries of the project were interviewed for their feedback on the project implementation and the impact the project will have on their daily lives. Venus D. De Leon, Barangay SK Chair of Bagtu shares, “Ito po ay malaking tulong po sa amin, bilang anak po ako ng isang magsasaka..ito pong road na ito ay papunta sa aming bukid po. So napaka-ganda pong project po nito para sa amin na beneficiary na mga magsasaka po..Nung rough road pa lang po ‘tong daan na ‘to, sobrang hirap po sa amin lalo na po ‘pag maulan po..nagkakaroon po sya ng mga tubig-tubig po or danaw po. Kaya po kadalasan din po ng mga pumapasok, pag minsan pag maulan, mga naka-tsinelas na lang po. Hindi na po proper yung uniform nila, so para po sa mga estudyante..napaka-ganda po kasi kahit maglakad na po sila, hindi na po ganun kaputik.”
Following the field validation, an exit conference was held to discuss findings and recommendations for further improvement with key local government stakeholders before the road was handed over and accepted by its end users. This guarantees that the road was built according to its designed specifications and increases its longevity for sustainability.
