In line with the celebration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.'s birthday, the Provincial Government of Aurora joins the simultaneous conduct of Comprehensive Government Assistance or the "Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat” centered on the distribution of comprehensive government assistance, which took place at the at the Provincial Capitol Grounds, Baler, Aurora.
The event aims to bring essential government services closer to the Filipino people, introduce crucial programs, and provide assistance to help them kickstart livelihoods and meet their daily needs, especially in areas affected by calamities. It also aims to highlight the importance of a collective effort toward a "Bagong Pilipinas" and to aid our most vulnerable constituents.
The successful event graced by Department of Education Secretary, Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara, was led by the Office of the President, along with key National Government Agencies (NGAs) particularly DOLE, DTI, DA, and TESDA.
A total of Php 5M were received by 1000 beneficaries under the “Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program” (AKAP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) that aims to help the minimum wage earners that were affected by the inflation.
599 TUPAD beneficiaries received cash incentives under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program.
Around 165 beneficiaries received benefits under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) amounting to a total of Php199,040. Each received an amount of P1,600 under the Plan Crops and Digital Agri Course.
146 beneficiaries under the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) received their payout amounting to a total of Php931,748.64. Each student received an amount of Php6,381.84 in return for their 20-day service rendered on the different LGU offices in Aurora. Under the Livelihood Program a total of Php 1,600,000.00 was distributed to 6 beneficiaires, and from the NegoKart program, Php60,000.00 was distributed to 2.
From the Department of Agriculture, 8 representatives of the Farmers Associations received farming equipment amounting to a total of Php1,211,880.
2000 food packs from the Office of DEPED Secretary Sonny Angara were also distributed to the farmer beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, to support local entrepreneurs, through KADIWA ng Pangulo, an estimated of 50 exhibitors participated in the event. They exhibited various local products such as spreads, spiced vinegar, fresh and dried fish, are among others. Through KADIWA ng Pangulo, the SMEs, Farmer Groups and Associations participated in the activity were able to put a sale amounting to PhP 19,126.00.
