The Municipal Road Clearing Task Force of the local government unit of San Antonio, Zambales­­ comprised of members from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) and municipal planning and development officeleads the on-site validation across the municipality’s fourteen (14) component barangays last January 13 and 14, 2021 to validate the outcome of their respective road clearing efforts which started in November last year.

The said initiative is in line with Municipal Mayor Preciliano M. Ruiz’s instruction for the immediate validation to ensure barangay compliance with the road clearing circular directive of the national government per DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2020-145.

In the same issuance, the resumption of Road Clearing Operations 2.0 in the municipality shall be in full implementation given that the LGU is classified under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) wherein LGUs were given only until January 15, 2021 to comply.

A meeting following the 2-day validation was immediately scheduled by the task force on January 14, 2021. The findings and next critical steps in the pipeline were likewise presented to Mayor Ruizwhich shall be established and carried-out to further sustain the clearing efforts in the municipality throughout the year.
