Thru the leadership of Mayor William T. Lim and Vice Mayor Joel E. Manangan, in coordination with MLGOO Dan Esteban, head secretariat of the Municipal Peace and Order Council, the Municipality of San Narciso held its joint Municipal Peace and Order Council, Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council and Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist and Armed Conflict on June 15, 2020.

The activity aimed to bolster the commitment of the council members to promote Peace and Order in the town especially through the trying times of the COVID-19 Pandemic and explore and discuss strategies that would further strengthen the harmony of the community.

Police Executive Master Sergeant Enrique C. Alegado reported the peace and order situation of the municipality during the second quarter of 2020. PEMS Alegado mentioned that the current police to population ratio in San Narciso is 1:1,302 but despite being undermanned, San Narciso Municipal Police Station was able to sustain peace and order in the town amidst the pandemic. He also reported other accomplishments through other programs such as Oplan Katok Boga.

Furthermore, PEMS Alegado reported that the Police Station has been active in enforcing local policies related to the community quarantine. He ensured that the San Narciso Police Station will remain adamant in their commitment to preserve orderliness in the town.

Capt Giovanni Bual of the 3rd Mechanized Battalion, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Agent Marlou Ordoña and SFO II Rowena Ibuos also presented updates from their respective agencies.

The activity concluded with MLGOO Dan Esteban displaying a short presentation regarding Modified General Community Quarantine and the councils agreeing on the next steps to take to maintain orderliness for the community, especially during the pandemic. The San Narciso MPOC, MADAC and MTF-ELCAC remains focused on implementing necessary measures to safeguard peacefulness while catering to the needs of each citizen. The councils are scheduled to meet again on the third quarter of the year to discuss further accomplishments and evaluate existing plans to come up with supplemental programs geared to address the needs of the community.
