April 27, 2023 —The Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (PIMTF) convenes, today, for the table assessment of the FY 2022 functionality of the 13 Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPCs) of Zambales at the Provincial Office, Iba.

 

 

The PIMTF, chaired by the DILG Provincial Director Martin Porres B. Moral, is composed of the representatives from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), Provincial Health Office (PHO), Department of Education (DepEd) and President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU).

Capability Development Section (CDS) Chief, LGOO V Rose Ann D. Agostosa gave a briefing on DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-039 and on the process of the functionality assessment. LGOO V Agostosa also presented the tabulated scores of the MCPCs based on their submitted documents covering their respective accomplishments for January-December 2022. 

The functionality assessment is based on the councils’ organizational stability, child-focused policies and plans, budget allocation and utilization, and service delivery monitoring and management for children. 

Cluster Team Leader, LGOO VII Melissa D. Nipal also gave emphasis on the importance of the assessment of the LCPCs as a valuable and strategic mechanism for the efficient and effective promotion of child’s rights at the local level.#
