TARLAC CITY, TARLAC – The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Tarlac conducted a Kick-Off Ceremony on March 1, 2018 at the Maria Cristina Park in celebration of this year's celebration of the Fire Prevention Month with the theme, "Ligtas na Pilipinas ang Ating Hangad, Pag-iingat sa Sunog ay sa Sarili Ipatupad."

Early in the morning, a Zumba was actively participated in by local officials, employees, representatives from National Government Agencies (DILG Tarlac, DENR, DepEd and DAR), Non-Government Organizations, barangays, and the academe.

Before the opening program started, the BFP workforce conducted a Simulation Exercise to showcase their fire-fighting skills and rescue abilities to suppress fire hazards and other related incidents and prevent loss of lives and properties.

BFP-R3 Assistant Regional Director Marilyn Busling said the BFP will never falter in the delivery of its services to the Filipinos towards the attainment of a fire-safe nation.

FSSupt. Jaime Ramirez introduced former city councilor and now provincial consultant Emily Ladera to share Governor Susan Yap's message which lauded the BFP as a national agency that prevents and suppresses all destructive fires and provides emergency medical and rescue services.

The Governor also encouraged everyone to stay disciplined, responsible and cautious to keep a fire-safe environment at all times.

The ceremony ended with the distribution of Certificates of Appreciation to the offices/agencies for their continued support and active participation in this kind of activity.
