DILG, Pampanga had conducted a one (1) day assessment/validation of Grassroots Participatory Planning and Budgeting Process (GPPBP) on the status of projects for FY 2014. The activity aimed to get updates from Participating National Government Agencies (NGAs) on the status of the GPPBP Project Implementation for FY 2014.


        PD Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, in her welcome remarks, shared the milestone activities of BUB 2014 since it was introduced to the LGUs in December, 2013.  Congressman Oscar  S. Rodriguez, Chairman of the Committee on Good Governance and Public Accountability, had likewise shared message, giving emphasis on the concept of Grassroots Budgeting which is the inclusive growth and poverty alleviation and further encouraged LGUs particularly the Civil Society Organizations to actively participate and be involved from planning until project implementation.  
        Invited participants were the members of Local Poverty Reduction Action Team (LPRAT) from the eleven (11) Local Government Units (LGUs) recipients of GPPBP for FY 2014.  Regional Poverty Reduction Action Team (RPRAT) member agencies such as DSWD, TESDA, DOLE, DOH, DILG, DepEd, DTI and DA were also present.  They   provided the participants an update on the status of projects covered under their respective agencies as well as a status on the documentary requirements submission of the recipient LGUs.  
        Signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between NGAs concerned and LGUs will transpire after the completion of the necessary requirements. Afterwhich is the downloading of funds to respective LGU accounts.  
        The activity ended through the signing of committment  by the RPRATs and LPRATs.
