During the Provincial Peace and Order and Provincial anti-Drug Abuse Council (PPOC-PADAC) 4th Quarter Meeting FY 2023, the council, led by Governor Dennis G. Pineda, recognized the BEST Performing Peace and Order Councils through the conduct of the Gawad Payapa Awarding on November 9, 2023 at Kingsborough Internation Convention Center, CSFP.

Below are the 2023 Gawad Payapa Awardees:

For Component Cities, 1st to 2nd Class Municipalities Category:
•1st place - Municipality of Arayat
•2nd place - Municipality of Candaba
•3rd place - Municpality of Guagua

For the 3rd to 5th Class Municipalities Category:
•1st place - Municipality of San Luis
•2nd place - Municipality of Santa Rita
•3rd place - Municpality of Bacolor

The Gawad Payapa Award is an innovation and initiative of PPOC that evaluates the functionality of component city and municipal POCs, and provides cash incentives to POCs that demonstrated exemplary performance in the promotion and maintenance of peace and order in their locality.

The council also approved the P80M Peace and Order and Public Safety Budget FY 2024, with P24.4M Confidential Fund, through POC resolutions No. 2023-08 and 2023-09, respectively.

Meanwhile, representatives from the PNP, PDEA, and AFP updated the Council on their respective accomplishments for the said quarter.
