The Provincial Peace and Order Council and Anti-Drug Abuse Council members convened earlier for their second quarter meeting at Kingsborough International Convention Center with Hon. Ananias Canlas Jr. SP Committee Chair on Peace and Order, PPOC-PADAC, presiding over the meeting
DILG Pampanga Provincial Director Myra Moral-Soriano presented the Resolution creating the technical working group for the 2023 Gawad Payapa Awards comprising of members from the PNP, PDEA, AFP, PG ENRO, LnB President, Pampanga Press Club, Inc., and chaired by the DILG.
Meanwhile, Atty. Jerome Abraham Reyes from NICA discussed the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020, highlighting that recruitment, membership, and providing material support to terrorists is a punishable act, and a preliminary order of proscription shall be issued within 72 hours.
The council also discussed the growing concern of robbery in some subdivisions. Hon. Ananias Canlas Jr. suggested that the PNP should conduct a security survey of these subdivisions and provide recommendations to further strengthen their security.
Lastly, representatives from the PNP, PDEA, and AFP presented their respective accomplishments for the quarter on the crime situation, illegal drug situation, drug clearing updates, internal peace, and security.
