Pampanga Gov. Lilia G. Pineda led the distribution of 35 mini dump trucks to the City of San Fernando on November 8, 2018 as support towards a cleaner and greener environment.
As one of the initiatives of the provincial government in environmental protection, the dump trucks were donated to the City of San Fernando to capacitate the barangays in the implementation of barangay solid waste management.
These trucks will be used for the regular garbage collection in the various barangays in the City. This is also pursuant to the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act or RA 9003. During the ceremonial turnover, Mayor Edwin Santiago accepted the symbolic keys from Gov. Pineda which marks their renewed commitment in promoting environmentally-sound policies and projects.
Also present in the event was DILG Provincial Director Myrvi A. Fabia to further advocate projects that are geared towards the development of an Environmentally-Protective and Climate Change Adaptive community.
