DILG Pampanga has intensified its monthly oversight functions to start the year, reaffirming a steadfast commitment to transparency and structural excellence. With the specialized expertise of the Regional and Provincial Monitoring Team (PMT), the Department conducted validations of high-impact projects under the FY 2023 SGLGIF, FY 2024 SGLGIF and FY 2024 LGSF. These January inspections across Floridablanca, Mabalacat City, San Simon and Porac set the pace for 2026, guaranteeing that the province’s path to progress is built on a foundation of absolute reliability and public trust.
For Floridablanca, the team reached an important milestone with the final assessment of the Solar-Powered Water Pump with Protective Enclosure in Palakol, Barangay San Jose. Allocated under the FY 2024 SGLGIF, this development utilizes renewable energy to bridge utility gaps and secure the area’s sanitation needs. This key development is set to redefine local tourism and ecological resilience as it moves toward full operation.
Meanwhile, in Mabalacat, the rise of the Mabalacat City Youth Center signals a shifting era for Barangay Sapang Biabas. This initiative, funded under the FY 2024 SGLGIF, was recently scrutinized by the unit to ensure its completion fully adheres to established criterias. Beyond its walls, the structure is designed to act as a versatile engine for growth—launching specialized career paths and fostering a culture of active citizenship.
In San Simon, the monitoring group conducted a follow-up validation of the Construction of Central Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Barangay San Agustin. Funded under the FY 2023 SGLGIF, this vital framework project will be instrumental in diverting waste from the stream and promoting long-term environmental health. Upon completion, the facility is set to function as a centralized hub for the efficient sorting, processing, and reclamation of recyclable materials.
Lastly, in Porac, the team validated several ongoing projects funded under the FY 2024 Local Government Support Fund (LGSF), implemented across the barangays of Porac Proper, Pabo Pangulo, Pio, and Planas. These essential projects—including a multi-purpose building, a public park and plaza, a farm-to-market road, and rural electrification—are designed to strengthen community engagement, improve accessibility, and enhance local public spaces.
Finally, these comprehensive field assessments ensure that local infrastructure meets the highest standards of quality. By validating such strategic works, the DILG safeguards credibility and secures the long-term utility of every community value. Powered by its mission to promote excellence in local governance, these projects stand as a testament to a province that is safe, peaceful, and progressively capable.
