The recently concluded political exercise ushered in a new set of local officials who would take the lead in crafting the destiny of the locality.

In line with our mandate to provide guidance for local officials in the performance of their duties and responsibilities, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region III will be spearheading the Newly Elected Officials Training with the theme:

Excellence and
Commitment in Local Governance through
Local Leaders
Business-Friendly and Competitive LGUs;
Environment-Protective, Climate Change Adaptive and Disaster Resilient LGUs;
Socially-Protective and Safe LGUs; and
Transparent, Accountable, Participative and Effective Local Governance.

The orientation course program aims to equip the newly – elected local officials to include first and second term city/municipal mayors, and first term city/municipal vice-mayors as well as members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod/ Bayan with the necessary knowledge to effectively and efficiently manage their respective localities during their term of office redirecting their individual potential strengths towards genuine public service.

It will also serve as a venue for formulating their plan of action in their first 100 days in office. The first batch composed of first term city/municipal mayors will be on June 13-15, June 21-23, June 27-29, June 28-30, and June 29- July 1, 2016 at Subic Travellers Hotel, Subic Bay Freeport Zone
