The Angeles City Government conducted the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Calibration Conference on February 22 to prepare for the 2023 SGLG.

"Amin pong hinihikayat ang lahat ng mga katuwang na opisyal na maging masigasig sa paghahanda para sa SGLG assessment ngayong taon," said OIC-City Director Yvette R. Cosio during her message. "Kami po sa DILG-AC ay patuloy na iga-guide ang syudad para, eventually, ay makamit sa Seal of Good Local Governance."

OIC-CD Cosio presented to the city functionaries the recent SGLG performance indicators under different governance areas such as Financial Administration and Sustainability, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection and Sensitivity, Health Compliance and Responsiveness, Sustainable Education, Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness, Safety, Peace and Order, Environmental Management, Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture and Arts, and Youth Development.

The city government aims to improve the government areas where it fell short in 2022 to finally attain the Seal.

The Seal of Good Local Governance, being a progressive assessment system that gives distinction to remarkable local government performance across several areas, highlights integrity and good performance to institutionalize local governance reforms in the continuing pursuit of meaningful local autonomy and development.
