In celebration of the 2022 Women's Month, DILG Region 3 presented the fifth episode of Talakayan Central Luzon titled Gender and Development in the Lens of Full Devolution on March 23, 2022.

 The guest speakers from DILG R3 discussed in-depth information on the topics of Transition to Full Devolution; Gender and Development; and Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion.

Ms. Alexandra Velasquez, Development Management Officer IV and Devolution Transition Plan Focal Person, gave a concise view on Full Devolution, and addressed concerns regarding its implementation in the Local Government Units. Meanwhile, Ms. Lydia Baltazar, Local Government Operations Officer VII and certified PCW GAD Resource Pool Member, talked about the desired integration of the concept of gender mainstreaming and the interrelated effects of GAD and GEDSI on the Full Devolution.
As an end note, Ms. Velasquez emphasized the importance of knowing the basic services and plans of LGUs that should be delivered to their constituents. For the LGUs, Ms. Baltazar hopes that the things learned during the discussion will be put into action in the form of a gender responsive community.

To conclude the activity, Regional Planning Officer Miriam Gaviola expressed the Department's desire that the learnings on the day's activity be utilized as a guide in achieving inclusive growth because everyone has a part in ensuring that NO ONE IS LEFT BEHIND regardless of their race, color, sex, language, religion, political opinion or any other status in life.
